Call for Papers
For 2004 NCA Convention, Chicago, USA
Russian Communication Association

The Russian Communication Association (RCA) is interested in papers or programs that relate to any aspect of communication in Russia (e.g. descriptive, theoretical, critical, pedagogical, intercultural, research) broadly construed. While proposals are not limited to the following areas, we are interested in constituting panels dealing with:

1) communicative behavior in Russia, and 2) Russian contributions to communication theory, philosophy, and research. The panel on communicative behavior could present research or analysis of any type of communication interactions (or communication patterns) in Russia ranging from interpersonal communication to mass communication. The panel on Russian theoretical contributions might consider the work of theorists such as Bakhtin, Vigotsky, Lotman, the Leontyevs or any others who seem to have something to say to our theoretical considerations about human communication. Proposals are not limited to these two broad areas.

All abstracts, papers and panel proposals must be submitted online using the AllAcademic website (http://convention.allacademic.com/nca2004/. All Academic can also be accessed via the NCA home page (http://www.natcom.org). Specifically, authors will enter their submission information to include list of authors or panelists, authors/ panelists contact information, paper/proposal title, and abstract and then upload your paper. Please note that you must strip ALL identifying information from your paper before submission.

In addition to uploading your paper, please also make sure to register your paper. When you register your paper will be assigned a PIN. Please make sure to note your PIN.

For information, please contact Dr. Michael Hazen, Wake Forest University (hazen@wfu.edu), phone 336 758-5404.
